ProjectScotland: An exciting new chapter

To enhance the impact of our work and streamline our efforts, we are integrating our sub-brands Volunteering Works, ProjectScotland, and GetTheGen into the main Volunteering Matters brand.

Since 2005, ProjectScotland has been at the heart of helping people in Scotland transform their lives through the power of volunteering. Our passion for people and their ability to positively impact their communities has driven us to support countless individuals in developing the confidence and skills needed to move into employment, training, or education.

Our Legacy

ProjectScotland has provided personalised plans for volunteers, including placements with local charities, one-to-one mentoring, and ongoing support from our dedicated team. Our commitment has been unwavering, with 78% of our volunteers continuing on to better opportunities after their placements. We will always be proud of the impact that we have made in communities across Scotland.

A new chapter for us

In 2021, ProjectScotland merged with Volunteering Matters to expand our reach across Scotland. We have achieved a lot during this time but now we feel is the right time to integrate ProjectScotland into our main parent brand, Volunteering Matters. We feel this will better align our efforts and maximize our impact. We will be looking to make this transition in the coming months.

What this means

  1. A new identity: We will continue our mission under the name “Volunteering Matters.”
  2. Seamless transition: All existing contacts and colleagues will remain the same, ensuring continuity and support.
  3. Enhanced focus: By uniting under Volunteering Matters, we can concentrate more effectively on our core mission – making a significant impact through volunteering.

This integration does not mean a step back from our commitment to volunteering in Scotland. On the contrary, it reinforces our priority to invest in and expand our initiatives. By combining our efforts under a single brand, we aim to reduce confusion and streamline our services, ensuring that we continue to support people in Scotland to get on in life through volunteering.

We are excited about this new chapter and the opportunities it brings to enhance our collective impact. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at info@volunteeringmatters.org.uk.
